With diverse backgrounds in conflict analysis and resolution, education, leadership and management, we’re passionate about fostering meaningful change and empowering professionals across industries to approach conflict with curiosity, confidence and skill.
Founder and Director
Megan Price
Dr. Megan Price founded the Center for Applied Insight Conflict Resolution, (CAICR) in 2016 to offer curiosity-based conflict communication and resolution skills to people who confront conflict regularly. The experiential curricula she develops and delivers is grounded in her expertise in the Insight approach to conflict analysis and resolution, which explains how conflict affects decision-making and how targeted curiosity can turn adversity into opportunity. Dr. Price is committed to to experiential, authentic learning techniques and leveraging curiosity for authentic discovery and impactful change. Her passion is building conflict capacity to help people turn conflict into cooperation and find strategic solutions to complex challenges across diverse fields and applications.

In addition to CAICR, Dr. Price is a regular speaker and writer on the role of curiosity in conflict resolution. She serves as Associate Faculty of Conflict Analysis and Management at Royal Roads University, Adjunct Faculty at George Mason University, is on the board of the Insight Collaboration Institute and is a founding member of the Studio for Emergent Action.

Sabina Smith
Sabina Smith is an expert in compliance, adjudication and conflict education. She brings to CAICR a deep commitment to fostering curiosity-based conflict resolution skills for optimal outcomes and has made those available to Canadian professionals as the Founder and Director of the Canadian Center for Applied Insight Conflict Resolution.

As Senior Trainer with CAICR, Sabina combines her practical experience with her academic expertise in conflict analysis. Her teaching emphasizes the power of conscious curiosity to build trust, prevent escalation, and create sustainable solutions in complex situations. Sabina’s dual perspective as a practitioner and educator allows her to connect with professionals across a range of fields, empowering them to navigate conflict effectively. She is passionate about helping others create meaningful change and develop the skills needed to make a lasting impact.
Senior Trainer
Mike Delaney
Mike Delaney joined CAICR as a trainer in 2020 bringing over 30 years of distinguished law enforcement experience to CAICR's Insight Policing program and has since expanded his role to teaching civilian professionals. As an Investigative Commander with more than two decades dedicated to solving high-profile and complex crimes in Maryland and surrounding areas, he shares his deep commitment to tapping the power of curiosity to communicate effectively and find strategic solutions when situations are heightened.
As Senior Trainer, Mike leverages his extensive experience to connect with students in meaningful ways. His diverse background as a law enforcement officer, homicide investigator, and youth mentor provides him with unique perspectives that enrich his teaching. He draws on real-world expertise from high-stakes cases and his work with vulnerable communities to help learners approach their roles with greater empathy and skill.

Mike finds great fulfillment in his role as a trainer, viewing it as an opportunity to give back to the community while equipping today’s professionals with the tools they need to navigate conflict and serve effectively.

Jeff Coe
Jeff Coe is an expert instructor, teaching professionals in a wide range of practical subjects from tactical driving to CPR and Crisis First Aid to conflict communication skills with CAICR. His distinguished career in the military and over 25 years in law enforcement help him highlight the power of communication, connection and trust in developing positive relationships for effective results.
With a career spanning numerous roles, Jeff brings a well-rounded perspective to his training, helping learners navigate the complexities of conflict. His teaching emphasizes finding the “why” behind conflicts, empowering learners to approach challenging situations with curiosity and skill. Passionate about fostering leadership and problem-solving, Jeff is committed to building the capacity of learners in a diversity of fields with the tools they need to create meaningful change in their work and communities.
Trainer
Alita Gaskill
Alita joined CAICR as an instructor in 2024, bringing with her a wealth of experience in leadership, compliance, conflict resolution and education. Alita holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Lincoln University, an M.S. in Management from Johns Hopkins University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice Leadership at Liberty University. As Assistant Director of Safety and Security at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden International, Alita leads a team of police officers and oversees the Safety and Security Department. She also serves as Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice at Bowie State University.

Alita’s extensive experience as a law enforcement leader, educator, and safety director allows her to bring a well-rounded and practical perspective to her training. She leverages her background in communication, management, and community engagement to connect deeply with her students, fostering meaningful learning experiences.
